The 5th C - Confidence

We understand that buying an engagement ring is a huge decision with many factors to consider. There are the subjective "will they like it" decisions (for which we offer a vast selection of styles to suite most tastes) and also the question/concern of legitimacy and value for money.
We hope the following will put any of your concerns at ease, and of course you can contact us via phone, text, WhatsApp, email, Zoom or in person in one of our showrooms.

IGI or GIA Certified Diamonds

All of our diamonds are IGI or GIA certified.
The IGI (International Gemological Institute) and GIA (Gemological Institute of America) are two globally recognised independent organisations that specialise in gemological research, education, and certification. They play a crucial role in the jewellery industry by assessing, documenting and certifying the quality and authenticity of gemstones and diamonds. The IGI and GIA conduct rigorous evaluations to determine the characteristics of these precious stones, including their colour, clarity, cut, and carat weight (the 4Cs). Their certifications and reports provide consumers with accurate information about quality of the stones, they inscribe the diamond's unique report number onto the diamond's girdle (the thin facets around the edge) which can be seen in a well lit environment through a 10X magnifying loupe.
IGI and GIA contribute to the transparency and integrity of the gemstone market, helping buyers and sellers make informed decisions, and ultimately, promoting trust and confidence in the industry.

Hallmarked Precious Metals

Unlike diamonds, precious metals don't have a paper certificate of authenticity, the metal itself carries the hallmark. In the UK it is illegal to sell or describe any item as Gold, Silver, Platinum or Palladium unless it is hallmarked. Our rings carry the compulsory hallmarks including the Sponsors Mark - the two circles with JJ; the fineness mark - in this case 750 meaning it's 18 karat gold; and the Assay office mark, the anchor here signifying this one has been assessed and hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office. Metal is hallmarked to guarantee its quality, origin, and compliance, ultimately safeguarding both consumers and the integrity of the precious metals market.
